But they were not sitting in math class at the time; they were getting ready to practice ballroom dancing, counting the number of shakes, as they warmed up their wrists and ankles.

A month into their Dancing Classrooms instruction, Almira Elementary School’s fifth-graders were, for the most part, progressing nicely. However, before they began dancing on that day, Ms. Mary Nozak, their dance instructor, had an announcement.
